Call 1 (877) 264-5920 Get A QuoteA sewage backup is one of the more serious water damage situations a Surprise, AZ property owner can face, because the water involved is classified as category three, meaning it is grossly contaminated and carries bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens. This is not a situation for a mop and a fan. Our sewage cleanup process treats contamination as the primary concern from the first minute on site, with containment set up before any extraction begins to keep contaminated water from spreading to unaffected areas.
Our technicians wear appropriate personal protective equipment and use specialized extraction equipment dedicated to contaminated water, separate from equipment used on clean water losses. Beyond removing the visible water, any porous materials that absorbed sewage, carpet, padding, drywall, and insulation, generally cannot be sanitized to a safe standard and are removed and disposed of rather than dried in place. Hard surfaces are cleaned and disinfected using hospital grade antimicrobial treatments.
Once contamination is addressed, we move into the same drying and monitoring process used across our restoration work, confirming humidity and moisture levels return to normal before the space is cleared. Odor control gets particular attention on sewage jobs since residual contamination in flooring or wall cavities is a common source of lingering smell. Surprise, AZ residents can expect a cleanup that prioritizes health and safety at every step, not just the appearance of a clean floor.
The affected area is contained immediately to prevent contaminated water from spreading further.
Dedicated equipment extracts sewage water separately from clean water equipment to prevent cross contamination.
Porous materials that absorbed sewage are removed and disposed of according to health and safety guidelines.
